AM Forgiveness

November 26, 2016 by Janielle Kastner in Bad Poetry

The phone alarm chimes like it hasn't even heard what I've done
The morning light forgives me
The record player doesn't know what I'm capable of
The desk only knows my best self
And the mirror has seen the unspeakable but decides to reflect me anyways
Because of these small graces
Today I will get up
And try to do something.
